Set Adrift

A glimpse into your eyes

with the sun aglow,

I am as one set adrift

upon an endless emerald sea.

Oh, warm current, flowing

through this heart of mine,

keep me upon the waters deep;

lest "Land Ho!" arouses me

from my dreamy peek

into the windows of her soul,

and I am once again awakened

by the feelings of the shore  

beneath my feet.
